La and I were enjoying a pleasant Sunday morning at the Piazza Natale in Little Italy when we overhead this gentleman say rather loudly into his cell phone:
"I was at church you prick!"
I guess he was talking to his brother. We almost fell out of our chairs laughing.
I would love to invite him to my church where we speak of our brothers with endearing terms like "brother" or their given or nickname. That"s just me.

ReplyDeleteI guess I sounded a little preachy, but my point is , terms of love and endearment are so much nicer and makes the one and only life we have more beautiful. Chavo was a nickname born out of great love by an adoring wife as was La by an adoring husband.
